Sabbatical Ski Adventure

Breakfast Casserole 5:45 a.m. wake up for Jeff and nobody else until 6:15 a.m.  Oven prewarmed to 350 degrees and the egg casserole in the oven.  Being Jeff's birthday everyone as they rose wished him a Happy Birthday. The day started so well and no rain with gorgeous scenery in route.  Got to parking lot pretty close to Brighton Center and lifts.  Right in front of Majestic lift.  Drake stayed home with Sarah and Parker for a family day.  They went to lunch and the Aquarium not far from our VRBO. They ended up at the same Wood Fired restaurant we ate at the very first day . Jeff was first up followed by Garrett and then David.  Windy last night and the weather shows snowing up in the mountains.  Should be an interesting day as first visit to Alta and limited parking, etc.  We successfully left before 7 and had the pick of parking!!  Rain and wind as we departed with transition to snow a few miles out.  Snowing on arrival and off and on all day. Starting mileage update. Vista from parking lot. Car waiting 1 hour plus wait as lifts open at 9:15 and Ticket office 8:15.  We all did bathroom breaks and Christa picked up her ticket.  Drake and I toured th ski shop to scope out end of day goodies. The mountain has a low area with greens and blues.  The rest is black, expert with some blues mixed in.  Local gentleman said snow all week in the mountains.  Also not worth going to Solitude.  Brighton ok which is plan for tomorrow.
