Sabbatical Ski Adventure

Snow again over night leaving the cars, driveway, steps and sidewalks covered in an inch plus of powder. A typical morning start with everyone except Sarah, Drake, Parker with Grandpa and Christa not skiing.  Earlier start as anticipated crowds on Friday to be heavy.  Parker did not sleep well all night and most of us are sore and tired.  David and Logan were troupers and represented the crew on the mountains. Parker had sausage and eggs for breakfast and the rest of us bagels, coffee and bananas. Text from David upon arrival good news, but sounds like the weather is less than desirable to start.  Cold and cloudy/foggy visibility. First up in the am (5:45 a.m.) and took this pic from family room at VRBO.  We have a complete view of the valley. A little later Logan captured more of the early sunrise effect. The plans are to ski Deer Valley with the entire crew today.  Unfortunately Sarah being pregnant and Parker not yet old enough for the mountains is not skiing this trip. Everyone was up and ready to go pretty much on time.  The Indy Clan headed out first (before 7:00 a.m.) as they needed to get Christa's ski rentals.  The KC crew left about 7:15 to head up the mountain.  We stayed in touch to try and coordinate parking, but ended up in two different spots.  David parked below the central lodge entrance and Jeff parked at the Gondola Parking.  Both worked out great being free and relatively easy.  The Indy crew had a bit of a hike and the KC clan had a long line for the gondola.
