Telluride Day 2 - Travel to Grand Junction

Jeff woke at 4:15 mostly due to glogged nose, but also anxious about weather and drive.  The Hampton lobby made for a good hangout until 6 am breakfast bell.

The trek to Telluride was wet, and the snow packed as expected.
During bearly morning Jeff found the Telluride app, which like Epic or IKON will track you skiing.  While you can ski up to 7 days on the Epic Pass, the mountain is not a Vail Property, so for future make sure app is loaded and physical pass in hand.  The new Epic Phone based pass did not work.  Of course by the time we started skiing forgot to start the app.

It snowed all day with heaviest coming at the end.  Drake made the call to ski down to the Village to have lunch and save our sandwiches for dinner.  We e joyed sitting at the outside bar and chatting with some guys from MI.  Wings and Fries with beer and fireball shots.
After lunch we worked our way across the mountain and after two runs tackled the hill that Jeff lost a ski twice.  Success and though exhausted we went to the peak to ski all the way to the bottom.  See Far run down to Lookout and Telluride Way.  On the way stopped to take a pic of the house on the peak.  The snow made it tough to take pic and you have to imagine the view from yesterday pics.
We worked our way to the Lookout run we did yesterday.  Crap with all the snow and skiers the steep top was all moguls.  Jeff made it over half way down and then the right ski popped off again.   Ugh!!

When we got to the truck it was covered in snow.  Brushed it off and by the time we got in to drive off it was coverwd again.
Not as many pics with all the snow today.  A lot of snow piles along all the runs made it some workout style skiing

We treked north to Grand Junction for our next over night.  Snowy for a few miles and as we came down roads became wet and eventually rain right up to arriving at the homewood suites.  We did snack on Janie's cookies to hold us till dinner.

After settling in we watched the Chiefs Frnachise episode released today and continued our watching the Fifty.

We ended the day with over 30 hours of driving and 1500 plus miles.  Going forward we will try to note travel stats.

Tomorrow is a travel day to Salt Lake City and arrival of the family for our Utah week.

The updated tally for chips, spills and falls:
Chips = 2* Drake and Jeff had chips and salsa with Mexican Dinner and Drake chips with his wrap.
Spills = Jeff 5 with water spill at last night dinner.
Falls = 4 minor for Jeff with ski popping off as central them on steep runs. We
Brain Fart = 1 Drake forgetting his coat.
