Travel to Salt Lake City

Today is a travel day from Grand Junction to Salt Lake City (Draper) where our VRBO is located.  Drake drove and the first pit stop before the drive was McDonald, Starbucks and the. Phillips 66 to top off the tank.  The pit chief was pleased with the turn around time!
Like so many of the legs so far the views along the route are just so hard to describe.  Plateaus, desert, and cloud clear down to the ground.  The first fog bank was fun to see and quick drive through.  The second bank down the road had us slow down and was with us for 15 mins.

The drive was 3.5 hours and our arrival was timed to meet the early travelers for brunch.  The early fliers had a successful flight and Parker is rumored to have done great with her own seat.
A few seconds of nap time.

Driving scenic pics at 85 miles per hour.  Speed limit in Utah is 80 mph.

The Oak Wood Fire Kitchen was a hit and Parker enjoyed a kids plate rivaling an adults plate.  We are so lucky Parker is a good eater.
Then we headed to VRBO to unload in the garage while cleaners worked the house.  We found a flight park for para gliders.  We hung arou d and did get to see two guys glide from the top to la ding area.
Janie, Sarah and Parker went to the grocery stores while the rest of us headed to Christys so Katelyn and Garrett could get rentals.  Jeff took his in to check right binder.  There was an adjustment on the toe to heel setting that was off.  The left ski is missing the plastic cover on the gauge, so technician recommended leaving as set.  Tomorrow at Deer Valley we will see if all goes well.  We saw a couple of guys and after rental pickup hiked a bit and saw another flyer.

Then we got into the VRBO and unloaded groceries and gear.

Did a room selection and Drake started our laundry.  Katelyn and Garrett started dinner.
View from porch off kitchen.

Our host has a shot table where supplies left by visitors is available.   Drake and Garrett did the honors with Jagermeister.

Parker enjoyed all the stairs and attention.  First to have chef dads mac and cheese.
Logan flew in and landed at 6:05 30 minutes early, and got a mom and dad pickup.  On the way another stop at the local grocery store for supplies missed.

Katelyn and Garrett made tortellini soup and crustini for dinner.  It was three bowl good!!!

After dinner the boys play darts (cricket) and watch BB in the downstairs bar.  Blew a 15 amp circuit with the portable heaters.  Will have to let owner know needs to upgrade to 20 amp.

David and Christa landed at 8:30 and arrived a VRBO at 10:15.  Quick hugs and gear hauling, hen night night.
No spills etc., today so yesterday report still current.
